How each item is calculated

Gratuity

Same engine as our gratuity calculator: last basic wage ÷ 30 × 21 days per year for the first five years and 30 days per year after, nothing under one year, capped at two years’ wage. Service is counted on the calendar, including 29 February.

Unpaid salary

Days worked but not yet paid are valued at the total monthly wage ÷ 30 per day. Add any earlier months that were not paid as an amount.

Annual leave

Under the labour law you earn 2 days per month after 6 months and 30 days per year after one year, with part of the final year counted. Unused days are paid on the basic wage ÷ 30. You can enter your balance or let us calculate earned minus taken.

Notice period

The contract notice is 30 to 90 days. The party that does not give or serve the notice pays the wage for the days not served, at the total wage. Choose whether it is owed to you or deducted from you.

Ticket and other amounts

A repatriation ticket, overtime, commission, bonuses and other allowances depend on your contract and records, so you enter them as amounts.

Deductions

Loans, salary advances and other amounts you owe the employer are deducted, along with notice pay if you left without serving notice.

Frequently asked questions

Basic wage or total wage?

Gratuity and leave encashment use the basic wage. Unpaid salary and notice pay use the total wage (basic plus allowances). Each line in the result shows which basis was used.

When must the employer pay?

The labour law requires all dues to be paid within 14 days of the end of employment. If they are not, you can raise a complaint with the labour authority.

Does resignation change anything?

Not the gratuity under the current law. It matters for notice: if you resign without serving the notice period, notice pay may be deducted.

Is the air ticket always due?

It depends on your contract and situation. Enter it only if your contract or the employer’s policy gives it to you.

Why is my result different from my employer’s?

Employers may use different leave records, wage figures or contract terms. Use the statement to compare line by line, and ask the employer for their breakdown.

Employer has not paid your settlement?

We can review your figures, prepare and type a labour complaint, or handle the work permit cancellation paperwork. Paid support, quoted before we start.
